Goals this level:
- Find Dr. Polito
- Reprogram the three sim units
- Go to the Recreation Deck (Deck 5)
Operations Map 1
Find Dr. Polito
You start out at location 1,
Xerxes Core (white). The only place you can go at the start
is through Bulkhead 41, location 2. Follow the corridor until
you come to Polito. Listen to Shodan's slide show (neat, huh?). As you go back through the
bulkhead to Xerxes Core you receive further instructions from Shodan.
Somewhere on this level you find a log from Malick.
He has reprogrammed the three sim units and given some chips to three of his
"friends" to guard. These "friends" are Red Cyborg Assassins.
On this level you will encounter for the first time the Cyborg Assassins. They
dress like Ninja's and come in two colors: black and red. Black ones are like regular
enemies, only a lot faster, and their bodies disappear a few seconds after being killed.
Red ones do not disappear after being killed. You must take a simulation chip from
each of Malick's "friends" and use them to reprogram the simulation units.
Go through Bulkhead 42, location 4.

The Interpolated Simulation Chip
You enter map 2 at location 1
- the Lounge (white). Head east to Data Storage (green). Cross the room to location 2
and meet the first Red Assassin. Take the Interpolated Simulation chip from his corpse
(sounds so easy doesn't it?).
Head back west to Lounge area (white),
then go north through the Main Corridor (dark cyan) into the
Power Administration Section (beige). Now go west to location
4, Bulkhead 44. Go through the bulkhead.

The Quantum Simulation Chip
You're now at Map 2, location 5, the north end of the Crew's Quarters (green).
Explore your way south through the Crew's Quarters. Make sure you explore both levels. At
location 6 find the second Red Assassin. Take the Quantum
Simulation Chip from him.
Go all the way back north through the
Crew's Quarters to location 5, Bulkhead 44, and go back
through to Map 2, Power Admin (beige), location 4.

Reprogram the First Sim Unit
Go northeast to location 3 and use the Quantum Simulaton Chip on the sim unit there.
Now go south through Power Admin (beige), through the Main Corridor (dark cyan)
and through the Lounge (white) to location 1, Bulkhead 42. Go through the bulkhead and return to Xerxes Core (white), location 4.

Go southwest across Xerxes Core (white) to location 2, Bulkhead 43.
Enter it and go to Map 3, location 1, Fluid Ops (white).

Reprogram the Second Sim Unit
Go east through Fluid Ops (white)
and into Power Ops (purple). Go south to either purple
location 3 or 4 and climb the
ladder down to the lower level. Go to location 2.
Malick has booby trapped this sim unit so that when
you approach it a variable number of spiders attack you. Deal with the spiders then
reprogram the unit with the Interpolation Simulator Chip.
The Linear Simulation Chip
Return to the upper level of Power Ops (purple). Go west back into Fluid Ops (white),
then south into the Barracks area (green). You can stop at
location 3, Weapons Lockup, and use the codes 13433 to get
inside. Be careful. When the door opens there's a security bot standing inside.
Go southwest through the Barracks Area (green) to location 4, and take the
Linear Simulation Chip from the last Red Assassin.
Reprogram the Third Sim Unit
Note: You may need an access
card to get into Location 5 to reprogram this Sim Unit Here's a quote from a
post to a SS2 forum by one of the game's designers:.
..do you have "SECURITY" in your access MFD? If you don't, then you can't
(currently) get to one of the Sim Units. The Security card is located on a body on the
Engineering Deck, just before the bulkhead, where there were two turrets. We (dev team
& QA) all thought it was trivial to find that card, but a small (and rightfully
annoyed) set of players managed to overlook it the first time through.
FWIW, since this wasn't intended to be a "blocking problem", we're making those
doors unlocked in the patch...
So unless you've patched your game, make sure you
have this card.
Go southeast through Command Center/Security (red) to location 5 and reprogram the
sim unit there with the Linear Simulation Chip. Shodan now tells you to get to Deck 5,
Recreation.
Make note of location 6,
Command Center/Security. This room requires an Ops Override Access card. You'll be
returning here from another deck.
Go back north to location 1,
Bulkhead 43, in Fluid Ops (white). Go through the bulkhead
and back to Xerxes Core (white), Map 1.
Operations Map 1

Go to Deck 5
Head straight east across Xerxes Core (white) to the elevator, location 1,
and go to Deck 5, Recreation.
