- Tomb of Seth -

1. Welcome to the real game. The scene begins with Lara's man, Friday (I named him after Robinson Crusoe's man Friday) lighting a torch.

2. Pick up the flares to the left front. Turn around and get more from behind. Walk toward Friday, jump in the shallow pit to the left and get a shotgun.

3. Continue following the incline down. The next depression holds a scorpion and a large medkit. Deal with them both.

4. Remain armed and continue. The next depression is empty. A short ways past the next torch a cut scene gives a jackal's eye view as it runs toward you. When you regain control blast it.

5. Follow Friday down. You're getting close to the tomb entrance. At the next torch you should be able to look ahead and see a large medkit on top of a ramp. Walk up the rear of the ramp and get the medkit. Turn around, face east, and walk back down the ramp toward the far cavern wall. Just before you get there, angle right and walk between two ledges. Turn left, climb the ledge and get Secret #9, a small medkit.

6. Climb back down and catch up with Friday inside the tomb. Just before you reach him a panel slides down on the left. A scorpion charges out, if a scorpion could be said to charge, and comes for you. Another attacks you simultaneously from the rear. Get them both.

7. The door through which you entered has closed. Turn around and walk toward it. In the left hand corner of the room is a passageway going down. Follow it to a pit. Stand on the edge and look down.

8. Down and left, is a block with a red face, a black symbol and a small medkit. Down and right is a tunnel entrance. A scorpion is in there. Directly across on a ledge are two stands. One holds a golden device and the other a small medkit. These last two items are out of reach.

9. Hang/drop into the pit and get the small medkit from the block. Ready your weapon and enter the tunnel. Argue the scorpion out of Secret #10, normal shotgun ammo.

10. Exit the pit by standing on the block where the medkit was and climbing out. Go back to where patient Man Friday waits.

11. Stand behind Friday and go left, south, to the square hole in the wall. Use "action" and Lara reaches in and pulls a lever. The room where you were previously fills with sand.

12. Go to the square hole on the opposite side of the room from where you pulled the lever, reach in and get a large medkit.

13. Return to the room you just filled with sand and retrieve the small medkit. Go to the other stand and get the golden thing. Inventory calls it the Eyepiece. A cut scene shows the door in front of Friday opening.

14. Go back up to Friday and enter the door. Follow him down the stairs in the next room but don't get ahead of him. At the bottom he goes through a door and disables a trap for you.

15. Up the steps at the end of the room is another eyepiece. Take it then call up inventory. Combine the two eyepieces to make the Eye of Horus.

16. Go back to the previous room and climb the huge stone in the center. On the south wall of the cavern is a doorway. We need to go there. Jump up and grab the convenient rope overhead. Swing over into the doorway and trigger Secret #11, loot to follow.

17. Walk into the short hallway and face the right wall. Overhead is a circular room. Once you climb up you'll be standing on the perimeter of it. A large spiked roller comes around every few seconds. Look up. When the roller passes climb up the wall and run at an angle to the right. Ahead is a slope, beyond that is a short wall. At the foot of the slope do a jump and land at the foot of the wall then climb up. You're safe here. Get the small medkit.

18. Face the back wall of the niche you're in and turn left. When the roller passes climb this wall, turn left toward the center of the room and do a run/jump/grab to the small ledge across. Run to the back face. You're safe there.

19. Climb the face, go up the short ramp. There are some flares on the left. With the wall on your left walk a ways and drop down to a ledge. Ahead you can see a lighted passage with a block in front of it. Wait for the roller to pass so you don't jump into it and jump to the block in front of the passage. Get off quickly to avoid the roller on its next round. Immediately get a weapon ready for the jackal that runs from around the corner in front of you.

20. Stay armed. Continue down the corridor, turn the corner and blast two more jackals. At the end of the corridor you come to a hole. The face is sloping. Turn around and slide down the slope backwards and grab the ledge as you slide off. Shimmy right until you can drop to the safe ledge below and avoid the pit of scorpions. Take the two Uzis on the right.

21. Hang from the ledge where the Uzis were, slide and catch the edge of the slope, then release and drop to the floor. If you continue down this corridor you'll be in the room you filled with sand earlier.

22. Go the opposite direction, up, and into the room above. Go through the door and back to where you did the rope swing that started this section.

23. As you pass through the door, turn right and go to the circular golden object on the north wall. Use the Eye of Horus here.

24. Weapon ready, walk down the short corridor to a ramp running up to the left. Two jackals will attack you from the doorway at the top of the ramp.

25. Go up the ramp and follow the corridor to a room with a giant head. While you're standing there gawking Friday should show up. Watch where he goes.

26. Turn around and step up on the little short section of ramp that connects the entrance with the viewing platform. You should be facing east. Hang/drop off the left side and get some ammo.

27. Go to the same place on the other side and get a small medkit. Go join Friday. When you find him he lights some oil in channels lining the room. A door opens and he enters. Follow.

28. At the bottom of the stairs is an intersection. Friday went left. You need to go right into a green tinted area and get a small medkit from a shallow pit. Continue into the next room.

29. Turn right and walk around the pool of oil to a hallway. Take the hallway to a room with a chain hanging down in front of the entrance. Pull the chain and watch a grate open. Friday walks through and lights the oil in the pool.

30. The fire down below is reflected up through some of the tiles in the floor. Lara needs to jump across the room by landing only on illuminated tiles and must hit each illuminated tile. This will open a gate. Save here. If you get across but landed on a non-illuminated tile, the gate won't open and you'll have to go through a little ceremony to start over. It's easier to just restore from the beginning. Of course, you could always catch on fire, too. A saved game would be real handy to remedy that.

31. Stand in the center of the tile directly in front of the rope. It looks like its burned through and wont support Lara but it will. Trust me.

32. Stand in the left rear corner of this first tile and jump to the tile that's one tile to the right and one tile forward.

33. Carefully step to the center of this tile. Now jump two tiles forward to one with a symbol that resembles an eye.

34. Turn left and jump two tiles forward to one that has a symbol that resembles a beetle.

35. Face the front of the room and jump diagonally to the tile directly in front of the grate.

36. If you were successful the grate will raise when you hit the tile. Go inside the pick up the Timeless Sands.

37. If you messed up and don't have a saved game, go back to the entrance by walking around the edge of the room. Exit the room and go right at the green grate and slide down the ramp into a room. There's a chain hanging down here, too. Get the shotgun on the floor. Yank the chain. It opens the green grate you just passed and resets the puzzle. You get back up by going through the tunnel opposite the chain.

38. When you pick up the Timeless Sands the gate behind opens and you can leave that way. Follow the steps down and you end up at ground level with the big head. Turn to the left and you should see your torchbearer standing in a doorway.

39. Head toward Friday and follow him down a ramp next to the far wall. When he turns left keep going straight ahead and climb the ledge there.

40. On the right is a closed gate. Climb the rear wall of the niche all the way to the top and push the lever. Climb back down and enter the now opened gate and get Secret #12, regular shotgun shells.

41. Now go back up the wall for some typical Tomb Raider action. At the top walk past the lever and turn right. You can walk out on the black and yellow striped ledge. Walk to the edge facing the room. Step sideways to the right until you're at the edge where the black and yellow ledge starts to slope down. Turn slightly left and look inward towards the head. If you light a flare you can barely see the edge of another black and yellow ledge that runs across the top of the head. It slopes slightly downward. Do a standing jump to that miniscule piece of real estate.

42. Turn left and walk across the head to the next corner. Around this corner is a ledge identical to the one with the lever. In front of it is a small black and yellow ledge. Do the same kind of jump you just did to reach this ledge. Then make your way to Secret #13, regular shotgun shells - you can see them before you make the jump, and a medkit in the far dark corner.

43. To get back to the lever ledge simply (Ha!) duplicate the jumps you just did.

44. Back at the lever ledge, climb the ladder down, hang/drop from the ledge and start down the narrow corridor. Take the first right and find out what Friday's doing.

45. When you find him, he opens the door for you then leaves in one big hurry. Arm yourself. Follow the corridor down and blast three scorpions as soon as you turn the first corner. Continue and hang/drop into the room.

46. Get the shotgun shells from the low platform at room center. The small medkit is hard to see because it blends with the floor. It's in the upper right corner of the platform.

47. Cross the room and climb up to the statue. Use the Timeless Sands. Sand begins draining from the room above into this room. Do a roll (END key) and run off the ledge, dodge around the piles of sand, ignore the scorpion that appears, and reclimb the ledge where you entered the room.

48. Go back up to the head. The sand is gone and the mouth is exposed. Walk up the remaining small pile of sand under the mouth. Jump up and grab the lip. The passage is too narrow for a regular pull-up. So hit the "/" and Up Arrow keys while still holding the Control key down. Lara will crawl into the opening.

49. Crawl till you can stand up then run down the corridor and before sliding into the next level save your game.

 

- Burial Chambers -

1. There is more typical Tomb Raider action, as you must act almost immediately to get the next secret. When you reach the halfway point while sliding down the ramp, do a jump/grab to a ledge above. Now you know the reason for the save game. Get Secret #14, a large medkit.

2. Jump back to the ramp so you continue sliding down backwards. Grab the edge of the ledge and drop to the floor below.

3. Push the lever, do a roll and run through the opened door at the end of the room and slide down the ramp. Now be quick. Right at your feet is the Hand of Orion. Pick it up, angle left and jump to the platform before spikes impale you.

4. Go down the slope and get Secret #15, regular shotgun shells. Doing so opens the grate in front of you.

5. Run down the corridor lined with statues until you come to more spikes. Walk forward, and when they retract, run through. Shoot the huge urn on the left and get a small medkit.

6. Go to the next set of spikes and repeat the previous drill of getting through. Slide down into the passage below.

7. Use the Hand of Orion on the receptacle in the left wall. Now you have spinning and rotating blades and are faced with a very difficult set of moves. There are two sets of pedestals in the room. The one directly in front has shotgun shells. The one to the left has a shotgun.

8. Walk to the edge of the ledge and line up with the shotgun shells across the way. When you judge the time is right, do a standing jump. You should land right on top of the shells. Now you'll probably have to jump straight up to avoid the blades. When you come back down get the shells and jump straight up again to avoid the blades. When you come down jump right. You'll probably hit the wall and land in the room below. In one of the corners of the room is a small medkit.

9. Make your way back under the ledge where you used the hand. Climb up and get set again.

10. Go to the edge of the ledge then take one small step back (Shift - Dn Arrow). When the time is right do a standing jump to the platform where the shotgun shells were then immediately jump left to the platform with the shotgun. You'll probably have to jump up and down here to avoid the blades while you line up on the shotgun.

11. When you've picked up the shotgun turn left to face the wall then jump right. You'll land on a section of another platform in front of the exit. From there it's a straight jump out of the area.

12. Follow the passage to a room with a sarcophagus in the center. Stay away from it for now. Go left to the first dark corner and get a small medkit. Continue around the edge of the room. In the corner past the exit, get regular shotgun shells. Go back to the exit and leave.

13. The next room has a huge central statue and three sarcophagi, one on each of the walls. Go left and get the small medkit by the sarcophagus there.

14. Face the sarcophagus and go right. Drop down the pit there and follow the path around to Secret #16, a small medkit and regular shotgun shells.

15. Go back to the room with the sarcophagus that we avoided earlier. At the foot is a set of steps. Approach the steps and an animation plays. When it's done the channels in the room run with blood.

16. Head back to the room with the three sarcophagi. When you approach the central statue the sarcophagi will open. The mummies are harmless as long as you stay away from them.

17. To the right of the sarcophagus where you picked up the small medkit is a tile with a red circle on it. We need to move the central statue over it.

18. Walk up to the front of statue and push it once. Now go to the right side and keep pushing until it's over the block. An animation plays and a door opens in a tunnel behind the sarcophagus to your rear.

19. Go draw out the mummy by shooting it a couple of times. It's slow, so when it comes out run around it and go through the door. The mummy will follow you until you jump from the oncoming ledge.

20. Get armed and go down the short hallway to a cavern. Follow the path into a cavern even more huge. There's a building of some sort, a tomb, off to the left and a column on the right. Jackals will attack you simultaneously from both sites.

21. Walk toward the tomb. Just before you get there, look to the left. You'll see an ill-defined set of stairs. Really just stone steps. High up in the cavern wall is a grated-over entrance. Go to the wall under the grate and turn left. Follow the steps up until you come to a ledge. Jump in and get Secret #17, a large medkit.

22. Climb out and continue up the stairs. At the intersection go left, follow the stairs around and cross the bridge. Enter the structure beyond and arm yourself. As you approach the first landing up the stairs a pair of jackals attack.

23. Finish climbing to the top, turn right and hang/drop through the hole. At the end of the corridor stand on the edge of the ledge and turn left. You can see a chamber high in the wall. Underneath it to the left and lower is a small platform. Do a standing jump to the platform. Line up and do a running jump up into the chamber. Get Secret #18, regular shotgun shells.

24. Jump down to the ledge below and to the right of your location then run/jump across the room to the block opposite.

25. Climb the ledge in front of you and walk left. Jump across the gap to the single block then face the center of the room.

26. Run/jump across the room, over some spikes, to a ledge opposite. Walk forward until you're under the ledge above then jump up, grab the ladder on its face and climb.

27. Go forward, climb a ledge and push the lever inside the small room to ungrate a passage on the floor level.

28. Make your way back across the blocks and down to the floor under the ledge where you first entered this huge room. Enter the newly opened passage there.

29. Follow the short passage, climb the wall at the end and pull the lever you find. This causes the room outside to rotate.

30. To exit the room, turn around and jump into the opening in the right wall. Follow the corridor, hop down to a slope and slide to the floor.

31. Hang/drop from the edge of the hole in the floor in front of you. Pick up the star-shaped object at your feet, the Hand of Sirius.

32. Walk out the only exit. Follow the corridor, climb a ladder, then a block to get out.

33. You should now be facing a block with seven stars on the face. Climb the block, walk to the edge and jump/grab the edge of the blocks across. Pull up, crawl under the spikes ahead and turn left.

34. Just ahead and slightly lower is a cut out in the wall. Jump into it. If you miss you slide down the wall into some spikes.

35. Once inside the cut out, go to the hole in the floor. There's no ladder on the face directly under you so stand on the edge of the hole. Do a hop backwards like you're getting ready to do a running jump. Instead of jumping just run off the edge of the hole and grab the ladder on the opposite wall.

36. Enter the small room below. There's a chain hanging down and two mummies lying on the floor. Pull the chain and the room outside rotates back to its original position. A grate directly across from you opens the way to a ladder. As you step over the mummy near the ladder, both mummies wake up. Just climb the ladder. The mummies are easy to avoid.

37. At the top, jump to the floor, turn right and climb the set of two blocks just before the spikes. Use the Hand of Sirius in the receptacle you find on the wall up there. This drops a rope off to the right between you and a ledge in the south end of the room.

38. Stand on the corner of the block and jump/grab the rope. Swing across into the opening and get the Scarab Talisman from the pedestal.

39. Arm yourself, walk around the pedestal and follow the corridor. As you turn left and start down the incline two jackals attack. Follow the incline down into a small room where a third animal attacks. Continue down to the cavern floor.

40. Turn right and go up the stairs along the cavern wall. At the very top climb the wall between the two statues.

41. Shoot the two urns at the top and get some shotgun shells and a small medkit.

42. Climb into the next room. On the north wall is a grated opening above eye level. There are two mummies on the floor and the Golden Serpent is on a pedestal next to the south wall.

43. Take the Golden Serpent and awaken the mummies. Avoid the mummies and run across the room and climb up into the passage that is now open.

44. The next room is trapped. When you enter it fills with sand and raises you up into the spiked ceiling. Slide down the ramp into the room, immediately turn left and run to the far left-hand corner and climb out.

45. Follow the passage around and down to a hole with a large medkit on the edge. Jump across, get the medkit and look down into the hole.

46. At the bottom on one side is a ledge. Hang and drop from the edge of the hole so you land on the ledge. Hang and drop from the ledge to the ground. Make sure you don't drop from the side of the ledge where the torch is.

47. You are now back in the main cavern on the steps near the intersection that leads to the bridge. Go down the stairs and enter the tomb.

48. Follow the passage, climb over a block and enter a room full of sand and a reclining mummy.

49. Here's the drill. In the north wall are two receptacles. Use the Scarab Talisman in the receptacle on the left, the Golden Serpent in the one on the right. Sand will start filling the room and the mummy will awaken. Run around in circles to avoid the mummy until the level of the sand allows you to climb into an opening in the west wall.

50. Head for the patch of daylight and the next level.

 

- Valley of the Kings -

1. When you regain control eight bad guys will attack you in pairs. Just keep running around the rocks and shooting and you should be able to take care of them. When the cut scene runs and you see Friday running off you're almost done. Don't forget to pick up all the ammo and medkits the baddies leave. One of the items you pick up should be a set of keys.

2. In the right-hand corner of the east canyon wall is a dark arena you can climb into. Follow the passage and climb into a totally dark area. You might want to light a torch. In a small cubicle you find Secret #19, two boxes of shotgun shells and a shotgun.

3. In the opposite corner of the same canyon wall, is another dark corner where a tricky jump gets us another secret. Go over there and climb up the small ledge and face right, toward the wall. Make Lara back up all the way to the edge behind her. Ahead and above is a ledge that slopes down from left to right. Turn Lara about 45 degrees to the right and stand/jump toward the sloping edge, grab it and pull up.

4. Walk forward, climb the next ledge and turn right. You can collect Secret #20, two boxes of shotgun shells, Uzi magazines and a small medkit.

5. Return to the canyon floor and go to the blue Rover. Use the ignition keys on the driver's door to get in.

6. Now Friday drives off in the other truck. He will be tossing grenades out as you pursue so be ready to avoid them. Begin the chase.

7. Go up the first incline and down into a tunnel. As you come up the exit ramp on the far side there's a sharp right. Friday tosses a grenade here and a couple bad guys start shooting from the rocks. If you're far enough behind Friday's truck the bad guys will come out in the road just around the corner. If they do you can run over them. Else, if you want, you can stop, get out, shoot it out on foot and return to the Rover.

8. Immediately after the hard right you enter another tunnel. Once up the exit ramp, stop the Rover and get out. Watch out for a bad guy on a rock bridge over the road ahead.

9. Under this rock bridge is a pit full of stakes. To either side of the pit is a ramp, the larger on the left. Take care of the assassin if you haven't already and go between the two ramps. There's a slight slope down. Hang from the left edge of this slope and climb down the ladder. Climb down, right, then up to the edge of a crawlspace. Crawl up and through the space, drop down into a tunnel and follow it to the end. Collect Secret #21, a small medkit and some super grenades.

10. Make your way back to the Rover. You can either jump the pit by accelerating up the ramp at the left or just drive up and over the ramp on the right.

11. On the other side you enter another tunnel. Run over another gunman as you exit and drive carefully as you negotiate the curves of a rock bridge that zigzags across a canyon. Near the end of the bridge you can run over another bad guy.

12. After the bridge go into another tunnel and out the other side to the next level where the chase continues.

 

- KV5 -

1. Before you drive into the dig stop the Rover by the big block in front of the dig's door. Get out and go left to get two boxes of wideshot shotgun ammo and a large medkit.

2. Get back in the Rover and follow Friday who's still tossing grenades. Go up through the dig and past two large statues on the right. You soon come to where a dune causes a fork in the path.

3. Go to the left and run through the supports holding up a scaffold where a sniper is firing at you. Immediately reverse and run him down. Go forward again and just before you exit the area through a square-cut doorway in the rock, stop the Rover and get out.

4. Climb the low ledge on the right side of the exit, go forward through the crawlspace and get Secret #22, a large medkit.

5. Get back in the Rover and continue the chase. Drive into the next area and make a left between two structures with scaffolding around them. Run through the supports of the scaffolding on the left just like before and reverse to run over the sniper that falls to the ground.

6. Park the Rover in front of the closed gate. Go to the center of the scaffolding opposite the one you demolished and climb up. Go to the left end and get a box of regular shotgun shells.

7. Reverse direction, walk around the corner at the opposite end of the scaffolding and blast the dude climbing over the block there.

8. Climb over the block, drop through the gap in the flooring, turn around and go underneath the scaffolding back toward the Rover and get Secret #23, a large and a small medkit.

9. Go back and pull up through the gap in the flooring and climb the block. At the corner you can climb up to the next level of scaffolding.

10. Go about halfway down the walkway and get a large medkit from an alcove to the right. Turn around and you'll notice a rope hanging between the two structures from a higher level.

11. Run/jump/grab the rope and swing across. To the right is a lever high on the wall. Jump up to it to activate it and open the gate in front of the Rover.

12. Hang/drop from the scaffolding by the lever. Go into the corner left of the Rover, climb up into an alcove and get a large medkit.

13. Drive the Rover through the gate and up the tunnel. Stay to the left and when a spiked ball drops from the ceiling to the right and passes, swerve right to miss the second ball as it drops on the left. Immediately swerve back left to avoid the third ball. Stop at the top of the ramp and get out.

14. Find the hole in the ceiling of the tunnel from which the last ball dropped. Stand under it and face downhill. Look up. The wall above is climbable. Climb it and backflip from the top to get Secret #24, regular grenades.

15. Get back in the Rover and continue. Go down the hill and into a tunnel. Stay left when you exit to avoid a pit. Soon the road turns left and goes between two pits. Pass between the pits and park.

16. Go back to the pits. One has a climbable wall. Climb down the wall and stay to the left. When you're over a crawlspace, release your hold and immediately grab the lip of the crawlspace below. Crawl in and get Secret #25, shotgun and crossbow ammo.

17. Crawl back out and hang from the ledge, shimmy right and climb up to the Rover. Drive down into the next tunnel, staying left to skirt a pit. Go up and out between two more pits.

18. Just past the pits turn left up a short incline and go out to a dune. Turn left at the dune and follow it until you can turn right. Soon as you make the right accelerate up over the next dune and be ready to jog right to miss a pit.

19. You should now be heading north. Go up the next hill, passing the last pit on the left. Down in the next little valley turn left, west, and go up over the right side of the next rise. Jog right to miss the pit and do some demolition on the scaffolding holding the sniper.

20. Head south from the sniper's tower, keeping the canyon wall on your right. Go over two more small hills and you'll see a green stone entrance to a tunnel, also on the right. Drive into the tunnel and watch the cut scene.
