- The Sphinx Complex -

1. Head west down the trail and shoot the two goons near the end. One drops a Silver Key. Use it to get through the steel door.

2. Two goons will attack from the right as you enter.

3. On the right are two sets of walls that surround pits. There is a lever opposite each pit. Climb up on the walls, run/jump to the levers, and push them.

4. Head to the door now opened in the west wall. Just before the door a Red Assassin attacks. Take care of him, get the shotgun shells right of the door and go through the door.

5. Go to the pit on the right and slide down the ramp to the ledge below. Turn left and run/jump to the ledge.

6. Save here. To the northeast is a barely discernable ledge that slopes slightly toward the pit. Do a diagonal run/jump/grab to this ledge. It's a very difficult jump. Aim for the left end of the ledge.

7. Head north to another pit. Look down and left to see a large medkit on a ledge. Run/jump to the medkit and immediately pull your weapon and blast the bad guy to the northeast. Get the medkit.

8. Do a diagonal run/jump to the northeast and land on a ledge. Climb out of the pit and enter the door.

9. Shoot both crates near the door and get some Uzi magazines. On the south wall is a set of shelves blocking a grate. Push them away and shoot the grate. Use the laser sight.

10. Crawl through the opening and shoot the grate at the other end. Exit, draw your weapon and shoot the bad guy at the west end of the room. He drops some shotgun ammo.

11. Push the button on the wall where the bad guy was and shoot the two goons as they come through the door. Shoot the crates in the room and get a Metal Blade.

12. Go to the shelf at the east end of the room. Pull it once. Go behind it and push it all the way against the crawlspace. Pull the shelf next to it once. Go around and get Secret #63, a shotgun.

13. Now we backtrack a little. Go out the doors and head left to the pit. Walk down the slope and do a diagonal run/jump to the ledge on the right. Turn left, stand/jump to the ledge then stand/jump out of the pit.

14. Walk south to the next pit and slide down the ramp to a ledge in the left corner.

15. Do another run/jump across the pit to the far left corner. Turn right and run/jump to the ledge in the other corner. Turn left and stand/jump out of the pit.

16. Head right around to the front of the Sphinx. Go between the legs to a bright stone and watch the animation.

17. After the animation exit the legs and turn right. Go to another pit. Slide down slope to the ledge below. Face north and run/jump to the next ledge. Blow away the two Red Assassins that attack and climb out of the pit.

18. Shoot the two crates in the corner and pick up the Wooden Handle. Combine it with the Metal Blade and make a Shovel.

19. Go southeast and use a small block to climb to the top of the Sphinx's leg. While you're up there get the wideshot shotgun shells then drop down between the legs.

20. Go to the patch of cracked dirt in front of the bright stone and use the shovel.

21. Jump into the hole and enter the tunnel that leads underneath the Sphinx.

 

- Underneath The Sphinx -

1. Head north through the gate and watch the animation.

2. Here's the drill. Just inside the gate, on the right and left are rooms with open gates above the entrances. Beside each door is a lever on the wall. This lever closes the gate. At the north end of the room are two rams. A couple of butts and you're history. Fortunately, they aren't very fast. Approach a ram and it will chase you. Sprint to a room. When the ram comes in, jump over it, go outside and flip the lever to trap it inside the room. Do the same with the second ram.

3. When the rams are caged head to where they were standing at the beginning and go to the skeleton on the west wall and get the flares. Underneath the torch is a Scrap Of Paper. It's a translation of hieroglyphic symbols to the alphabet.

4. Go to the three huge buttons below the face in the north wall. From left to right the symbols translate as "I", "Q", "A". Push the right, left then middle buttons.

5. Head west past the skeleton and through the gate that was raised. Stand/jump across the right side of the pit. Move forward and shoot the bats.

6. Just around the corner to the right is another pit. Walk down the slope on the left side and stand/jump across. Approach the next room and shoot a bat.

7. This room has four lighted niches, red, green, blue, violet, near the ceiling on both sides of the room. Look up into each of the holes with the binoculars. Use the "action" key to illuminate and read the three inscriptions in each hole. Red is "A", "Q", "I". Green is "Q", "I", "A". Blue is "I", "Q", "A". Violet is "Q", "A", "I".

8. Go back over both pits to the stone buttons. Push the buttons for the code found in the red hole; right, middle, left.

9. Head west past the skeleton, turn right and go through the gate in the north wall.

10. Shoot the bats and go to the right side of the pit against the wall. Stand/jump to the top of the incline then run/jump to a ledge at the north side of the pit.

11. Stand/jump out of the pit and shoot the bat. There are three crawlspaces in the end of the corridor. Enter the one on the right (south) side of the room. Stay off any patch of floor that's wood. It's a breakaway covering for a stake pit.

12. Once inside take the first left, then the next right and crawl up a dirt ramp. At the top turn left and follow the tunnel into a room. Pull the lever on the wall. Crawl back to the main room.

13. Enter the north crawlspace. Take the first left. Go past a ramp on the right then take the next left. At the end of the tunnel get the Stone Of Maat. Crawl back to the main room.

14. Enter the last crawlspace in the east wall. Take the first right. The wooden floor you come to will collapse but there's no spikes below. Fall through and collect Secret #64, a grenade gun.

15. Crawl back to the main room, go back across the pit and back to the stone buttons.

16. Enter the next code with the buttons; middle, left, right. Head back past the skeleton and go left (south) through the gate.

17. Shoot the bats and run/jump from the left side of the pit to get across. Turn right and follow the path to a pool with four lounging crocodiles. Impress them with man-made weapons of destruction.

18. There are four switches in this room. There are two on the north wall and two on the south wall. They are inside square holes underneath the wall tiles with faces. Pull all four in any order. Go to the island, drop into the now opened hole and get the Stone Of Khepri.

19. Pull the lever on the west wall to open the gate and go back to the stone buttons.

20. Enter the next set of codes; left, middle, right. This time go east into the next room and through the east door. Shoot the obligatory bats and jump over the left side of the obligatory pit.

21. The next room has nine switches, three in each wall. If you do the switches in the wrong order you release a horde of beetles.

22. Go to the north wall. Do the switch on the far right. Go to the east wall. Do the far right switch and you'll get the Stone Of Re.

23. Go back to the stone keyboard. Enter the last set of codes; middle, right, left.

24. Head back east and go through the south door - no bats, but there's still a pit. Stand/jump to the ledge inside the right edge of the pit. Hang off the edge and shimmy left until you can pull up. Stand/jump out of the pit toward the torches. Oh, that's where the bats are.

25. This room has a hole full of water. We're in for a long swim. You'd think after all these adventures Lara could have scuba gear, wouldn't you?

26. Dive down to the intersection of three tunnels. Go south. At the next intersection go east. At the end of the tunnel go right (south). Swim past the next tunnel on the right and continue south. At the end of the tunnel go down, right up to a hieroglyph on the wall and go up. Surface, exit the water and pull the switch between the statues.

27. Let's go back to the beginning. Go back in the water and follow the tunnel back. Go north at the far end of the tunnel as you go up. Ignore the tunnel on the left and continue north. Head west at the next turning. Go up at the next intersection, then north to the intersection of the three tunnels and then up and get some air.

28. Dive down to the intersection of the three tunnels and go south then down. At the next intersection go west. At the end of the tunnel go up and get some air. Climb out and pull the switch on the north wall.

29. Get back in the water and dive down. Go east at the first tunnel you see. Go up at the next choice, then north and up at the next intersection. Surface and get some air.

30. Dive down to the intersection of the three tunnels and go east. Go south at the end of the tunnel. At the next tunnel ending turn east and immediately go down. At the bottom of the shaft go south. Take the next tunnel west and go up when you see the hieroglyph. Surface for air. Climb out and pull the third lever.

31. Dive in and go down. Go east at the first choice. Go north at the next intersection and up at the end of the tunnel. Go west at the next intersection then up and to the north almost right away. Take the next intersection west and go up at the next. Surface for air.

32. Dive down to the intersection of the three tunnels and go north. At the end of the tunnel go up. At the next intersection go east. Swim to the hieroglyph and go up. Surface and pull the fourth switch.

33. Dive in the water. Go past the hieroglyph then down into a tunnel as soon as you can. At the bottom head south and go up at the next intersection. Surface for air. One more switch to go.

34. Dive down to the intersection of the three tunnels and go east. At the end of the tunnel go up past the hieroglyph and surface in the last switch room. Climb out and pull the last switch to open the exit. Go to the west side of the room and get the Stone Of Atum.

35. Dive in and go down. At the bottom by the hieroglyph go west. Go up the next time you can. Surface in the pool where you started this long swim.

36. Slide down into the pit on the left-hand side. Run/jump along the north edge of the pit to the far ledge. Stand/jump out of the pit and head back toward the stone buttons.

37. Pass the buttons and continue west past the skeleton and go through the center gate. Cross over the two pits and go into the next room.

38. There are four niches, two to each wall. Each niche is underneath one of the colored holes in the ceiling. Go to each niche and use the "action" key. Lara will automatically use the correct key in the niche. When you're done the gate at the north end opens.

39. Go through the gate. Monkey swing across the collapsed floor. Shoot the bats after you drop down. Stop before you enter the next room.

40. Here's the drill. There are two niches on each wall. There's a Scripture in each niche we need. However, when you enter the room rotating blades start coming down from the ceiling. Run to the first niche on the left and get the scripture. Hop backwards then stand/jump right. This will position you exactly in front of the second Scripture. Get it then roll and sprint to the opposite side and get the next scripture. Hop backwards, stand/jump right to position yourself in front of the last Scripture. Get it then sprint through the north gate, which opens when you get the last Scripture.

41. The next room contains blade traps. They won't hurt you if you WALK across the room.

42. Monkey swing across the chasm after the blade trapped room. Shoot the bats when you drop off. Follow the path to Menkaure's Pyramid.

 

- Menkaure's Pyramid -

1. Head left and pick up the Uzi magazines. At the far end of the tunnel get some more.

2. On the east side there are a couple of ledges you can climb up to a hole in the ceiling that's covered by a grating with a handle. Stand under the handle and face north. Jump up and grab the handle to open the grate.

3. Climb out. At the top a giant scorpion attacks. Take care of it and follow the path. Take the first left and shoot another scorpion that's attacking a guard. Kill the guard and the scorpion. The guard leaves revolver ammo behind.

4. Go back to the intersection and head west. At the next dead-end get a large medkit.

5. Head back to the intersection and go north to a pit. Run/jump diagonally to the left across the pit and head west.

6. Follow the turns in the path, killing another scorpion, until you come to a pit in front of the pyramid.

7. Run/jump/grab the ledge on the far side of the pit and pull up. Shoot the scorpion coming from the left. Turn right (east) and after a few steps shoot the golden bug that comes flying at you.

8. Crossing the next pit is tricky. Walk out on the ledge at the left side of the pit. Face south. The pit should be on your left. Directly across from you is a slope angling down toward you. Left of that slope and behind it is another slope. You can't tell from where you are but it slopes away from you. Run/jump slightly left and grab that slope. Pull up, and when Lara starts sliding, jump forward and land in a safe place. Turn east and stand/jump away from the pit.

9. Head east toward the pyramid and shoot the bug when it comes at you. There's a building on the right.

10. Here's the drill. Inside the building is a guard being attacked by a scorpion. You must save the guard to get an Armory Key that allows you to get the next to last secret of the game. If you're successful you'll see an animation where you get the key. It's tricky because Lara wants to target the guard as well as the scorpion. If you're a sloppy shot, you'll shoot the guard. OK, open the door, run in, angle right and start shooting.

11. After the animation plays look in your inventory. You should have an Armory Key as well as The Guard's Keys.

12. In the northwest corner of the room get some regular shotgun shells. In the other corners you find two small medkits and wideshot shotgun shells. When you're done, exit the building.

13. Head left back to the pit. Go to the edge of the pit and turn north. Walk toward the boulder and Lara will take a few steps up a small slope. Jump up and grab the top of the boulder. Shimmy left and around the corner. Drop down when you can't go any further.

14. Face west. There should be a very low ledge slightly to your right. Walk up on it and turn west. You'll soon see a small recess to the right (north). Climb up it.

15. Turn northwest and you'll see a bug at the far end of the blocks. Get it before it comes at you. Stand jump to the course of blocks the bug was on.

16. At the end of this course you're blocked by a small ramp. Run/jump west over this ramp. You won't make it but you will slide down to a safe spot. Draw your weapon, face west and shoot the flying bug as it attacks.

17. Head west until your way is blocked again and turn to face the pyramid. Climb up two stones. Walk right one stone then climb three more.

18. East is the entrance to the pyramid. Turn east and run/jump across the ramp to the landing in front of the entrance. Use The Guard's Key to open the door but don't go in. Go back to the edge of the ledge and face east.

19. Walk east until a block stops you. Turn right and hop to the stone below. Turn left and run/jump across the slope to a safe spot. Face the pyramid and look up. You can see three blocks you can climb up. A golden bug will attack you on the way.

20. At the third block, turn left. You should be level with the top of the entrance. Stand in the center of the block and stand/jump west. You will land on a stone with a small medkit. Stand/jump/grab the ledge on the other side of the door. Get Secret #65, a revolver.

21. As soon as you get the revolver a horde of beetles attack. Hop backwards off the ledge, turn right and run down the passage to end the level.

 

- Inside Menkaure's Pyramid -

1. At the bottom of the tunnel shoot some bats. Dodge the two swinging pendulums and shoot some more bats.

2. Cross the room, take about two or three steps down the stairs and stop. Look up toward the ceiling at the other end of the room and you'll see a large golden star. Use the revolver/laser sight combo to shatter it.

3. At the bottom of the stairs are two mummies, more bats and a lidless sarcophagus. In the southeast corner of the room you can find revolver ammo. Stand/jump into the east side of the container.

4. Jump through the hole and continue. You'll come to a huge spike trap. Use the rope to swing across.

5. In the next room the path forks. Run past the mummies and take the right fork (northwest).

6. You come to an even larger spike pit with two ropes. Use them to get across.

7. Walk up the ramp and pull the switch. Go back across the pit.

8. Go back to the fork and take the other path. Here is an identical pit with two ropes. Swing across.

9. Go up the ramp and climb through the trapdoor. At the top an Ancient Egyptian Guard will attack you. The best way to get him is to shoot while executing standing left and right jumps.

10. Go to the large star on the wall and use the crowbar to get the Western Shaft Key.

11. Drop back through the trapdoor and go to the spike pit. Use the two ropes to swing across.

12. At the fork head east to the spike pit with one rope. Swing across.

13. Go up the ramp and climb up into the sarcophagus. Jump out and head up the stairs.

14. Go to the east side of the room to find the passageway that opened when you took the shaft key.

15. Go through and slide. When you turn right, light a torch. Continue along the passage until you hear a click. Immediately duck to avoid the blades coming down the passageway. Stand and continue.

16. Follow the corridor to the end. Jump up and grab the handle to open the trapdoor.

17. Climb out and shoot the two scorpions coming from the right.

18. Just before the pit take the path east. Near the end of the path, at the left, is a button inset into the side of the pyramid. Push it and the top of a pyramid collapses.

19. Head back toward the pit. Shoot the scorpion on the way. At the left side of the pit, climb the block onto the pyramid.

20. Turn slightly right and climb up the next block. Go to the south end of the course and turn slightly left. Stand/jump to the next block. From here it's easy to find your way to the top.

21. Hang from the ledge at the top and climb all the way to the bottom. Follow the passage and run/jump across the pit.

22. Turn left and monkey swing across the next pit. The next pit has a pendulum. Time your run/jump/grab very carefully.

23. Around the corner are two more pits with pendulums. A passage between the two pits leads off to the south. It has a pit right at the entrance. Ignore it for now and cross the second pit.

24. Follow the corridor to the end and pull the rope once. Go back across the last pit and monkey swing over the pit in the south wall. Follow the corridor to the next room and a slide.

25. Here's the drill. As you slide you must make two jumps. The first is over a spike pit. Stand against the right side of the doorway and step off. Near the end of the slide forward jump and immediately hit the right arrow key. Lara will swerve right in midair and land on a very small triangular-shaped patch of level ground at the far right side of the pit. If you jump too late you'll overshoot the patch and continue sliding. From the safe ground, hang/drop into the pit and get Secret #66, an Uzi.

26. Climb back to the safe ground and continue sliding. At the end, jump/grab the ledge before you fall then drop to the ground. If you miss you'll just fall through and take some minor damage.

27. Now you're back underneath the Sphinx. Head south and you're back at the Sphinx Complex.

28. Climb out of the hole and head west when you can. Go to the pit and slide down the right side to the ledge. Do a running jump west to the ledge. Go to the south end of this ledge and stand/jump to the next then stand/jump out of the pit.

29. Go to the iron doors and use The Guard's Keys. Follow the path to the Mastabas.

 

- Mastabas -

1. There are wild dogs all through this area so it's best to keep your weapons out.

2. Go straight ahead to the building with the danger sign on it. Shoot the sign and walk inside. Shoot the bats. The tile in the exact center of the room is a hidden trap door. Stand near the edge and hit the "action" key to open it. Hang from the edge and climb the ladder down. Get Secret #67, a large medkit.

3. Exit the building and turn right. Go around the truck and get the Jerrycan can from between the pumps.

4. Head back toward where you got the secret and turn east just before the building.

5. Go in the doorway on the left. Get the revolver ammo from the corner and open the trapdoor in the center of the room. Jump through.

6. Follow the corridor. Be on the watch for dogs. At the intersection go left (east). Follow the tunnel down to a room. You'll probably meet two dogs on the way down.

7. Go to the far side of the room, left of the ramp, and get some crossbow ammo. There are three Lion's heads on the walls. Each head has a gem in its mouth. Use the revolver/laser sight to shoot the gems loose. When you do mummies are released. If you've the ammo, blow them away with the grenade gun, else work around them.

8. Go into the just opened door at the top of the short ramp and get the Small Waterskin. Leave the room the way you entered.

9. Go back the way you came and go south at the intersection. Follow the long corridor to a hole in the ceiling. Shoot two dogs on the way. Climb out of the hole and shoot two bats.

10. Head out of this area and you'll find yourself between two pits. Go to the east pit and shoot the dog. Run/jump east across the pit to a barricaded doorway. Shoot the barrier away.

11. Open the door and go inside. Take care of dogs and bats. Open the trap door and jump down.

12. Follow the corridor to the intersection and go right (east). At the end you'll find two dogs and some bats. There are Lion's heads in this room also. Shoot the gems from their mouths, deal with the mummies (and a bat) and get the Bag Of Sand from the doorway.

13. Leave the room, head back to the intersection and go north. Pass up the next intersection and continue north. Shoot a dog. At the end climb up into the room and shoot some bats.

14. Go through the door and shoot away the barricade. Go left to the pit and do a diagonal run/jump the northwest. Do a second diagonal run/jump to the northwest out of the pit.

15. Head east into the doorway and take care of two small black scorpions. Open the trapdoor and jump down.

16. Go to the first intersection and turn right (west). Follow the corridor, shoot a dog, and get an unlit torch from the ground at the dead-end.

17. Back at the intersection keep going straight east. The Lion head room at the bottom is full of dogs and bats. Drop the torch and clear it out.

18. Shoot the gems from the Lion's heads, find your torch and go through the opened door.

19. The next room has bats and three scales on a raised section of floor. Remember where the torch landed when you dropped it to shoot the bats. You'll need it later.

20. Walk into the pool of water behind the scales and use the Small Waterskin to fill it.

21. Go back around to the front of the scales and climb up on the platform in front of the far-left scale, the one with three wavy lines on it. Use the Small Waterskin and Lara will pour water on the scale.

22. Go to the far-right scale. It has a pyramid symbol. Use the Bag Of Sand.

23. Go to the center scale and use the Jerrycan to pour gasoline.

24. Go find your unlit torch and light it from any of the torches on the wall. Go back to the center scale and set the gasoline on fire.

25. This opens a door in the west wall. Discard the torch and go in. Either take care of the two mummies hiding left and right inside or dodge around them while conducting business.

26. Go to the west wall and use the crowbar to get the Northern Shaft Key. There are two Lion's heads in this room. Shoot the gems from their mouths.

27. Go back through the scale room and through the now opened door in the east wall. There are three Lion heads in this room. Shoot the gems away.

28. Walk up the stairs to the east and shoot the dogs. Follow the tunnel past the intersection. Continue west to the end.

29. Climb out and shoot a black scorpion. Leave the area of the hole, shoot another black scorpion and go east to the pit.

30. Go to the far-left edge of the pit and do a diagonal run/jump to the east edge of the pit. Face south and run/jump/grab the far edge of the pit.

31. Find the doorway on the right and go through. Shoot some bats, open the trapdoor and jump through.

32. Follow the corridor around past the next intersection and continue east. Somewhere before the intersection you'll come across a black scorpion.

33. Follow the path to the end. There will be another scorpion somewhere along here. Climb out, shoot the dog and the barrier.

34. Open the door across the way, shoot more bats, and open the trapdoor. Jump down.

35. Follow the corridor to the intersection and go left (east). Follow the corridor to the Lion head room. As well as three Lion heads it has two dogs and two bats.

36. Shoot the gems from the three Lion's heads. Exit through the door that opens.

37. The next room has three silver baboon statues. Go to the statue on the far right, east end. It has its hands over its mouth. Use the crowbar on the lever body in front of it. After a long pause, the door in the east wall opens.

38. Go through the door. The room contains two Lion's heads with gems and some mummies. Pry the Southern Shaft Key from the east wall and shoot the gems before you leave.

39. Go back through the statue room and through the now opened door in the west side. No mummies, no bats, just the last three Lion's heads. Shoot the gems from their mouths and exit through the door in the west wall.

40. Follow the corridor to a ramp and slide down. Turn north and climb a ledge then another. Walk up the incline to The Great Pyramid.

 

- The Great Pyramid -

1. Follow the tunnel to the end. Climb out and get some shotgun shells from one of the corners of the room. From the corner opposite get a small medkit.

2. Shoot the barrier, go outside and shoot the bad buy hiding right of the door. Face west and use the revolver/laser sight to shoot the bad guy across the pit.

3. Approach the pit and run/jump southwest to ledge. Turn north and shoot the bad guy across the pit.

4. Go south to the door, kick it open and shoot the goon standing there. Inside is one of those flying golden bugs. Take care of it.

5. The tile in the center of the room is a hidden trap door. Open it and climb down the ladder and get Secret #68, a grenade gun.

6. Climb back to the top. Go to the north entrance and shoot the barricade, walk north the door. Open it and shoot the bad guy inside.

7. Ignore the trapdoor in this room. It's really a trap. Head through the door in the eastern end of the building.

8. Take the path left toward the pyramid. Find the barricaded doorway and clear it. Run inside and shoot two golden bugs. In the corners of the room pick up Uzi magazines and grenades. Open the trapdoor and find a large medkit.

9. Head toward the pyramid and watch an animation. Jog left toward the pit and walk out on the spur of rock that goes toward the pyramid. Run/jump to the opposite ledge.

10. Turn west and slide down the slope on the side of the pit to the ledge below.

11. Run/jump/grab and pull up to the ledge dead ahead.

12. Walk up the ramp ahead, turn right toward the pyramid and climb the first block. Shoot the bug you can see up and to the right.

13. Walk forward up one block. Go right one block then up.

14. Turn right (east) and walk to a slope that stops you. Set up a running jump then do it across the slope to the other side. Soon as you land hop back to avoid a falling boulder.

15. Walk forward and stand/jump over the next slope. Do the same at the next slope and be ready for a falling boulder.

16. Move forward, face the pyramid and climb up a block.

17. Turn right (east) and do two more standing jumps across two more slopes.

18. Go forward to the next slope and do a standing jump. This time you'll slide all the way down to the bottom. Stay where you land until the falling boulder passes.

19. Walk east a little ways and drop down to the block below.

20. Face south and run/jump/grab the ledge across the pit.

21. Do a run/jump straight ahead to where the bug was. Now run/jump/grab across the pit back to the pyramid side.

22. Climb the block ahead and walk right up the short ramp. Stand/jump ahead to the block with the large medkit.

23. Face northwest, almost back the way you came, and stand/jump to the safe area. Pause a second or two and when you hear the boulder coming down, backflip back to the previous block. When the boulder passes stand/jump back.

24. Do two more standing jumps northwest. Face west and do another standing jump. Immediately pull your weapon and get the flying bug before it knocks you off the block.

25. Face the pyramid and climb up two more blocks. Turn east and do two standing jumps over two slopes. At the last slope backflip to avoid a falling boulder then jump back.

26. Face the pyramid and climb up two blocks. Head west to the next slope and take care of the two flying bugs. Face the pyramid and climb up one block.

27. Walk west until you're stopped by a slope. Do a running jump and slide.

28. Run/jump west over the next two blocks and shoot the flying bug when it attacks.

29. Execute a standing jump to the west.

30. Face southwest and stand/jump diagonally to the stones below.

31. Do a diagonal standing jump northwest.

32. Stand/jump diagonally southwest down, the diagonally southwest up.

33. Face the pyramid and climb up three blocks.

34. Do a diagonal stand/jump northwest.

35. Stand/jump to the west. Be ready to backflip to dodge a boulder. If you do, then jump back when the boulder's past.

36. Do another stand/jump west from where the boulder rolled down.

37. Do one last running jump to the west and slide down the side of the pyramid and to the next level.

 

- Kufu's Queen's Pyramid -

1. Head south down the path and around the corner to the right and you'll see two soldiers fighting a giant scorpion. Kill the winners and the second scorpion that comes out when the fight's over.

2. Face south. There are two bunkers built into the wall. Go inside and shoot all the crates and get a haul of goodies just too numerous to mention.

3. Go to the next bunker and once inside use the Armory Key to open the cells. Shoot the crates and collect Secret #69, enough stuff to last through the next Tomb Raider.

4. Go back outside, kill a giant scorpion and head north to a pit. Walk to the left side and stand/jump to the ledge.

5. Do a diagonal run/jump northwest to the path. Immediately pull out the weapons and turn left. Shoot the giant scorpion.

6. Face the pit and walk out on the gentle slope. Run/jump/grab and pull up on the ledge across the pit.

7. Face south and stand/jump to the next ledge. Immediately do some antiaircraft action on the flying bug. Turn and climb up the block.

8. Turn north and run/jump (no grab) to the ledge. This is the maximum distance you can jump and you must be exactly square with the edge of the ledge when you jump or you'll miss the target by scant inches.

9. Walk to the far edge and do a diagonal stand/jump to the northwest.

10. Face west and do a diagonal run/jump/grab slightly right across the pit.

11. Face north and run/jump to the next ledge. Draw you weapons in mid air and shoot the flying bug. Take a step forward away from the ledge so you don't get knocked off, and shoot the giant scorpion when it comes after you.

12. Walk forward and turn left into the path. Go to the end and get a small medkit. Return to the pit end and push the block with the triangular-shaped top all the way to the end of the path.

13. Climb left and up into the entrance of the pyramid. Open the trapdoor and climb down the ladder.

14. To get through this labyrinth go right (west) at every intersection. Keep your guns out. You'll meet a few small black scorpions. It's a long way so don't give up too easily.

15. You'll know you're successful when you enter a room with an Ancient Egyptian Guard. Run around the room and blast away until he's done for.

16. Go to the south end of the room and use the crowbar to get the last Shaft Key.

17. Go back into the labyrinth and go straight north through the first intersection.

18. At the second intersection go right (east).

19. At the third intersection go left.

20. At the fourth intersection go left.

21. At the fifth intersection go right.

22. Go through the gate and climb the ladder. Walk down the path and back outside of the pyramid.

23. Head back to the pit and do a running/jump east across the pit.

24. Face north and run/jump to the next block then stand/jump to the next. Shoot a golden flying bug here.

25. Face the pyramid and climb the block. Go right one block then climb up.

26. Face northeast and do a diagonal stand/jump up the face. Do a second diagonal stand/jump in the same direction.

27. When you land just stand. Some boulders come crashing down but they're no threat. Walk to the next slope and do one last diagonal stand/jump northeast.

28. The entrance is northeast and up. Shoot two gold bugs as you approach. Use The Guard's Key in the lock to open the doors and go through.

 

- Inside The Great Pyramid -

1. Walk down the tunnel to the gap. Step down into the lower left side of the tunnel and run/jump across. Pull out your guns and shoot the bad guy further down the tunnel.

2. Head down and right into the next corridor. Shoot a bad guy here.

3. Follow the corridor around and up. Take out a bad guy on the way. At the top pass under a raised gate and shoot a Red Assassin and a bat.

4. Walk slowly up the ramp until the next trap is triggered, two columns that slide rapidly in and out of the walls.

5. Get as close as you can to the first sliding column and at the proper time run through. Repeat with the second sliding column.

6. Shoot the two jackals in the next room and enter the large sarcophagus through a broken section at the rear. Get a small medkit and an unlit torch.

7. Go to one of the lighted torches and use it to light your unlit one then light the rest of the torches in the room. There are four that need it.

8. That done, a passage opens in the west wall. Go inside and get wideshot shotgun shells and pull the lever.

9. When you leave this room three jackals attack. Go back through the sliding pillar trap to the gate which is now closed. Shoot a bat along the way.

10. Go up either of the ramps by the gate and watch an animation just before you enter the room.

11. There are four embossed star symbols on the walls of the room. Go to each one and press the "action" key. Lara will use the proper Shaft Key.

12. When that's done pull the lever on the north wall and shoot the bad guys that come in when the gate outside opens.

13. Exit the room, go down the ramps and back past the sliding columns.

14. There is a pillar of light shining down on the now shattered sarcophagus. Go through the passage in the east wall and get a large medkit and pull the switch.

15. Go back through the sliding columns one last time and through the opened gate.

16. Follow the corridor back to the main passage. When you get to the intersection two goons will attack, one from each side.

17. Head down the tunnel. Just before the first pit shoot a bat and get some Uzi magazines.

18. Stand/jump across the first pit and shoot a bat.

19. Do a diagonal right run/jump over the second pit. Shoot a bad guy who appears across the third pit. At the edge of this second pit, turn around and face south. Sidestep to the wall on the left then do a standing/jump toward the opposite wall. You'll fall down on a totally dark ramp in front of an alcove. Light a torch and enter the alcove. Get Secret #70, a crossbow. This is the final secret.

20. Walk back to the end of the ramp facing north. Drop the flare and stand/jump up to the edge of the pit. This is a maximum jump. Make sure you're square with the edge of the ramp or you'll miss by inches.

21. Stand/jump across the third pit. Hop down the next ledge and get a large medkit.

22. Run/jump over the next pit toward the room. Shoot a host of bats, hang from the edge of the illuminated hole and climb down. Just before the bottom shimmy into the opening in the west wall.

23. Jump down the next ledge and follow the path to the Temple of Horus.

 

- Temple OF Horus -

1. Head into the temple and turn right (north). Get the Large Waterskin on the floor to the left of the balance scales.

2. Save here just in case. Fill the Large Waterskin from the fountain. Go into inventory and combine the Large Waterskin with the Small Waterskin. You now have a Small Waterskin containing 3 liters and a Large Waterskin containing 2 liters.

3. Go to the balance scales and stand in front of the pan with the jug on it. Use the Large Waterskin and pour 2 liters into the jug. The grate in the floor in front of the scales opens. Sometimes Lara is a messy girl. If you're not positioned exactly right when you pour, the grate doesn't open. Then you must restore back to a point where both waterskins are empty and start over. If you mess around and pour more water in, the creature at the far end if the room is released. Not good.

4. Jump through the hole and go to a slope-sided pit with spike traps around the bottom opening and a pole rising from the center. Shoot some bats.

5. Jump and grab the pole. Time your descent with the clashing of the blades and slide to the floor below. Shoot the bats when you land.

6. Walk into the next room. It's identical to the one above, caged monster and all.

7. Make sure both waterskins are empty by "using" them. Go fill the Large Waterskin at the fountain.

8. Combine the Large Waterskin with the Small Waterskin.

9. Empty the Small Waterskin. You should now have an empty Small Waterskin and 2 liters in the Large Waterskin.

10. Combine the Large and Small Waterskins again. Now the Large Waterskin should be empty and the Small Waterskin holds 2 liters.

11. Fill the Large Waterskin once more.

12. Combine the Large Waterskin with the Small Waterskin. You should now have 4 liters in the Large Waterskin and 3 liters in the Small Waterskin.

13. Use the Large Waterskin and pour the 4 liters into the jug on the scale. The grate in the floor should open.

14. Jump through the hole and do as before, slide down the pole through the blades and enter another identical room.

15. Empty any of the skins that contain water then fill the Small Waterskin.

16. Combine the Small Waterskin with the Large Waterskin.

17. Fill the Small Waterskin once again.

18. Combine the Small Waterskin with the Large Waterskin. You now have 1 liter in the Small Waterskin.

19. Pour the 1 liter from the Small Waterskin into the jug on the scale. The grate in the floor should open.

20. Drop down the hole and go to the end of the tunnel. Stand/jump and grab the west wall. Climb all the way down (a long ways) and shimmy right to a pillar. Watch the animation.

21. Face north and sidestep up against the wall on the left. Run/jump into the water below.

22. Swim to the island and find a place to pull yourself up. Place one of the Holy Scriptures on each of the four pedestals around the shaft of light.

23. Go to the shaft of light and walk in facing Horus. Watch the animation then get ready for some running and ducking. Don't bother shooting at Horus. You can't hurt him.

24. You're not immune to his blasts while you're under water, but it sure helps. On land they'll set you on fire. As soon as you're in control head for the water.

25. Swim around the island until you find the Amulet that fell in during the animation.

26. Once you find it, continue underwater, snatching breaths here and there, to the southwest corner of the area where you'll find a ledge you can climb out on (not the island side).

27. Once out, stand jump to the top of the slope and run east up the ramp against the wall.

28. At the top turn left into an open doorway and pull the switch.

29. This opens a door straight across in the north side of the cavern. Run out the doorway and jump across to the island. Dodge Horus and jump in the water underneath the north door. Swim around the area until you find the ledge to crawl out on. Stand jump to the top of the slope and run up the ramp against the wall.

30. At the top, turn right into the room and pull the second lever to activate a device.

31. Now you have to go back to the ramp on the south side where you pulled the first lever.

32. Run out the door and jump to the island. Run to the south side and dive in the water near the ledge you can pull up on. Swim around until you locate the ledge and pull up. Stand/jump to the top of the slope and run up the ramp again.

33. At the top do a running jump east off the end. Run to the northeast end of the platform and face west. Run/jump/grab the ledge across.

34. Run/jump/grab the next platform and stand/jump up to the next.

35. Run forward and climb up the next block. Turn right and stand/jump to the top. There's a small medkit to the left if you want to try for it.

36. Head south to the next ledge, sidestep to the right hand edge, and do a run/jump/grab to the next ledge.

37. Go south to the next ledge. There's a stalactite hanging down that blocks our way to a clean jump. Go to the edge and hop back like you're lining up for a regular run/jump. Then take one more small step back. Now run/jump/grab. You won't grab anything, but the stretching out enables Lara to miss the stalactite. You'll land perfectly on the ledge below.

38. Follow the ledge to the end and face west. Run/jump/grab the edge of the crawlspace across the way. Crawl up inside.

39. Crawl through and drop from the opposite end. You're back under attack.

40. Follow the ledge and do another run/jump/grab to the next ledge above.

41. Go to the end of the ledge, face north and do a run/jump/grab for the climbable wall. Shimmy right into the beam. Horus can't hurt you while you're inside the beam. Climb up to the ledge.

42. Face the west wall, jump up and grab it. Shimmy left into the beam and climb. Watch an animation of Lara sealing Horus in the chamber below.

43. Leave through the gate in the rear of the room. Walk up the steps until you trigger three sliding pillars. You have to forward jump through these instead of running because of the steps.

44. Once in the next room run quickly to the left wall as a giant block falls into the room and practically fills it up.

45. Run/jump/grab across the spike pit. Quickly pull up and run forward before another falling block squashes you. Don't run too far. There's another pit.

46. Run/jump/grab over the next spike pit.

47. Switch to the right side of the tunnel. Run/jump/grab the opposite side of the pit. Shimmy left to the center of the ledge (the dark stone), pull up and run for the doorway before a block crushes you.

48. Follow the path to watch the final animation.
