2021 Reading Highlights
Table of contents
It just occurred to me that I did not write up my reading highlights for 2021. I finished the year having read a total of 56 books.
Science Fiction and Fantasy
As usual, sci-fi dominated my reading last year. Stand outs include:
- Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir - Much better than expected. The ending was special.
- Leviathan Falls by James S.A. Corey - The final book in the Expanse series.
- The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan - Put off reading any of these until I had more time. Really enjoyed it.
- The Collapsing Empire by John Scalzi - A different take on a galactic empire.
Other favorite authors from the year's reads included C. J. Box, Tony Hillerman, and Terry Pratchett.
Looking back at this, I desperately need to work a classic or two and some good non-fiction in 2022.
