Welcome to my personal can of worms.

People are complex. The things in their lives are complex. This blog represents some of the complexity in my life.
The site is divided into five categories. What you will find here are thoughts and tidbits from some of those various categories. Quickly filter articles down to one category by clicking on “Categories” in the top navigation bar and select the desired category.
- Faith: Sermon notes from my dad and thoughts on spiritual faith. He could turn a bulleted outline into a full 40 minute sermon.
- Family: When I think of family, it always seems to revolve around the table sharing a meal. Here you will find personal articles about family, recipes, and genealogy.
- Reading: is about my desire to be a life long learner. Here are articles about what I’m reading and thoughts on language.
- Vault: These are explorations into software tools and how to configure them. I hope they will be living documents that will grow as I learn and set up more applications.
- Technology: contains articles about my various areas of tech interest. These will primarily be things like Python Development, Linux, and math. OK, math doesn’t really fit, but it is the base that most technology is built on.

Why no comments?
Right now, that aren’t that many articles. But, if I get more serious about producing content that folks might comment on, then I’ll reconsider.

Canofworms.com does not collect any personal information from visitors of this site. Our web host does collect some information which logs site traffic. This information includes the IP address, the browser signature and which page was visited. This allows me to view how many people are visiting the site and the country of origin.
One area needs looking into further. The site does use fonts from from font-awesome and googlefonts. My concern is that using a CDN to pull in those fonts is exposing the visitor to some level of tracking. I want to look into that more and possibly self-host any fonts that are used on the site.
