Give Thanks at Thanksgiving
It is good to be thankful and grateful every day of the year. I am truly grateful for blessings above and beyond what I deserve.
In this season of thanksgiving, I hope that you will take some time to reflect on your blessings and perhaps share your thankfulness with others. Here are just a few of my thoughts.
I am thankful for my family. I have parents that taught me good values and set an example of loving and caring for others. I am blessed with a wonderful wife that cares for me. It is a joy as our love for each other deepens and matures. Children, grand-children, and now great grand-children fill our lives with humor and happiness.
I was privileged to grow up in a great country that allowed me to achieve more than I thought I could. I am thankful for the principals of freedom handed down to us.
I love the place that we have made our home. It took a lot of planning and work but we are well on our way to being settled. We are enjoying our house, neighbors, and city.
I am also grateful for decent health. Aches of aging only serve to remind me that I have been blessed.
We are blessed to have a beautiful church family and pastors. We have found a new spiritual home here. My faith sustains me and encourages me to grow and become a better person.
And most of all, thank you, Lord.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. - James 1:17
