Sugary Pecans or Walnuts
Table of contents
When I first saw this recipe, I thought, "Ugh - sour cream, are you nuts?" My sister claimed it was good. She made them, I couldn't stop eating them. They are delicious.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c sugar
- 1/2 c sour cream
- 1 t vanilla extract
- 1 bag walnuts or pecans - (it's those medium sized bags - probably about 2 cups or 8 oz.)
Directions
Heat sugar, sour cream, vanilla to boiling. Boil for 4 minutes. Stir in nuts. Quickly spread on parchment paper. The mixture hardens as it cools.
When it says quickly spread, it means it. These cool rapidly, so you need to dish them out fast. Once dried, they can be stored in a parchment lined tin, that is... if you haven't eaten them all.
