Thank the Lord

[!Bible]- Psalms 107:1 - KJV O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
I once sat on a jury where a man had done a horrible thing. During the trial, his attorneys admitted his wrong. He was guilty. The whole purpose of his defense was to try and get a lesser sentence for his deed. The court functioned as it was intended. It dispensed justice that day, he received a harsh sentence for his deeds. There was no mercy in man's court, only justice.
Today is a good day to thank God for His mercy. If He dispensed justice, we would all be sentenced harshly. Let us be thankful because we can come before His throne of mercy and grace.
Forgiveness
[!Bible]- 1 John 1:9 - KJV If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
This verse speaks directly to repentance. Repentance is a process of humble acknowledgement and regret for misdeeds and moral shortcomings. What the Bible calls sin. Repentance also includes the heartfelt resolution to change.
God has forgiven you in so many ways. Thank Him for His forgiveness and helping you to forgive others.
[!Bible]- Ephesians 4:32 - KJV And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
Ask Him to search your heart for unforgiving feelings you may harbor against someone else. Forgiveness is incredibly powerful. We have freely received His forgiveness, let us freely give. Pray that God will help us forgive others just as He did.
His faithfulness
[!Bible]- 2 Thessalonians 3:3 - KJV But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
Not only is God faithful to forgive sin, He is faithful in so many other ways.
Thank God for His faithfulness. He walks with us during good and bad times. Pray He would continue to faithfully see you through and encourage you to stay strong.
His love
[!Bible]- 1 John 4:16 - KJV And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
Thank God today for His generous and enduring love for you. If it weren't for His love, we would never experience His mercy. Pray He would help you to love as He loves us.
