Thankful for His Wisdom

Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite. Psalms 147:5 - KJV
We want to see the big picture. If we know the big picture, it helps to sort out the nitty-gritty details. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow us to see the big picture and we become bogged down in the weeds. The more we learn, the more we realize how little we know.
But, oh what a picture our Lord must see. His understanding is infinite. The word we use to describe God is "omniscient", meaning "all knowing". Today is a good day to put our trust in Him, because He understands it all even when we are confused.
Wisdom
The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens. Proverbs 3:19 - KJV
Thank God for His wisdom, guidance, and direction. Pray you would be sensitive to the leading and guiding of the Holy Spirit in your decisions, great and small.
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. James 1:5 - KJV
Thank the Lord today for His omniscience. Ask God to grow you in wisdom as well. He is willing to give liberally and he doesn't criticize us in our ignorance.
His provision
I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. Psalms 37:25 - KJV
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 - KJV
Thank Him for knowing and providing all your needs. Thank Him for the time He did NOT provide all your wants. Pray to know how you can help someone else.
Peace
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Colossians 3:15 - KJV
Thank Him for the gift of peace He gives us. Ask Him to calm your heart and mind and fill you with peace.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27 - KJV
Thank Him for His peace in the midst of the storm. Know God is in control no matter what is going on in the world your heart can rest in peace.
Guidance
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11 - KJV
Thank God that He has a plan for you. There is more to it than that. We each have many purposes to our lives. This is the time to pray as in Psalms 31:3, "For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy names's sake lead me, and guide me."
Conclusion
There are many more reasons to be thankful to God. In these articles, we have focused on being thankful in our relationship with God. But, also be thankful in the small things as well as the great.
